youn'G'unz @ Kerala(1)

Oops!!!!! I am extremely sorry friends; I was a bit pre-occupied these days & couldn’t write as such.
Anyway I am back with loads & loads of things to share with you all.
Today, on our return from Kerala Tour, after a long time, I happened to go to college; so, everyone was eagerly enquiring about my experiences that I had in this tour. Due to busy college hours, I couldn’t share things with everyone. So, I planned to indite an answer to them regarding my Experiences in Kerala & a lot more of course.
On April 4th 2010, we the youn’G’unz(Rakesh, Vamshi,Bhargav,Sharath,Bharath,Premesh,Hari-few others were missing due to dire circumstancesL) embarked on to this Kerala Tour. Come what may, we should have Extreme fun, this was our motto. We travelled by Sabari express from Hyderabad, an awesome 26 hours journey. It is a natural instinct when friends join together in train, with ample time to spare, playing cards, music, mastii & lot more gossips do happen. Enjoyed a lot in the train 26hrs of journey slipped away like 26 minutes.wow!! We were in Thrissur(kerala) on 5th afternoon. Scooted into a resort near by. There were no traces of tiredness due to long journey in any one of us, we were in high spirits in fact. So we caught a bus to our first tourist spot “Athirapilly Waterfalls” just 60 kms from Thrissur.

To say friends, in the entire journey to Athirpally, we were just gaping awestruck at the climate, beautiful scenic surroundings & & to the most, the Duplex Villas all around. Almost every home was a duplex with extra-ordinary architecture, lobby`s , gardens in-front of the home; wow!! Extremely spacious friends like our Farm Houses. Had I been an author, I would draft a poem expressing the beauty. Unfortunately I am not any author.

  What is life without enough twists & risks involved. Our first twist hit us, we were told in the bus; my dear tourists by the time you reach Athirapilly, issue of entry tickets will be closed!!!!!!Oops! But you know, fortune favors’ the worthy! The conductor of the bus, arranged tickets on phone for usJ using his influence.” How we respond shows what we truly are!..” Keralites though generally named as Lunatics are very much helpful to the tourists; or may be I guess, special treatment to the tourists is a norm in keralaJ , who knows( Athithi dhevo Bhava!!) .Not just this conductor, we found many kerala people who came to our rescue  when needed, I will introduce them sooner. so only I made these hefty statements. Anyway, crossing all the hurdles put to us, we were at Athirapilliy waterfalls, what a place to begin with. Oh my god, we couldn`t stop screaming after the first sight of the waterfalls ( we were still in the bus screaming, when we had our first sight), imagine our excitement friends. Wow. Our joy knew no bounds!! I could hear the click sounds of our camera shots immediately, everyone one of us were busy capturing the natural beauty & capturing ourselves before the awesome scenic place. Enjoyed there till the closing time. Hardly we moved out, unwillingly, our hearts were pounding to stay for more time (yeh dil maange more!!). We moved back to our stay at Thrissur.

Yes, there is yet another important thing that must be brought to your notice. Consider as a STATUATORY WARNING!! Yep; Your guess is right, FOOD; Oh my goddess, I wonder how could people eat Para-boiled rice & food cooked in coconut oil.Aewwwwww.yukkk. In the entire journey this was the only thing giving Grief to usL. We still managed with tiffins, Punjabi-tandoori dishes. Of course, it might be foolish to expect home food out of home. Anyways be prepared to face it if you are planning a tour to Kerala.

The next day, we moved to the most-thrilling place of Kerala; “MUNNAR”- Awesome hill-station no less than any other hill-stations of INDIA. Stay tuned for my next post;
Be happyJ. Keep SmilingJ.Have a goodDayJ
